Matthew Luginbuhl, PT, started PediaFlex in November 2004. His passion at work is to help kids with neuro-developmental disabilities. He has extensive experience treating infants, young children and teenagers throughout his career. He graduated from UConn in 1996. Matt has worked over the past 30 years with kids through pediatric and adolescent employment opportunities including the Hartford Public Schools, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and the University of Hartford, as an adjunct instructor on pediatrics in their PT program. He’s a past Fellow of the UConn Related Services Collaboration Project for in-depth training of the historical and pediatric practice trends as it relates to the laws and models of practice in the integration of related services in the schools. He served as a co-investigator with the Center for Motion Analysis research project analyzing gait patterns in children with cerebral palsy. Matt holds distinguished recognition from UConn and UHart for excellence and innovation in clinical education.

In Matt’s free time, he enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, hiking with his family, cooking, and traveling!

Sarah Born, PTA

Sarah Born, PTA, joined the PediaFlex team in January 2026 and loves her work with so many amazing kids. She finished the physical therapist assistant program at Naugatuck Valley Community College in 2025, following a clinical rotation with us here at PediaFlex. She has extensive physical therapy clinical experience included training in outpatient orthopedics & sports medicine, in-patient short-term rehabilitation, home care, and school-based neuro-developmental pediatrics. She holds a BS degree in exercise science and has extensive professional experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and fitness. Previous to her turn to the health care profession, Sarah served in the United Sates Navy in Aviation Structural Mechanics and Command Fitness Leadership. Since her time with us, she has shown fantastic patient care and handling skills and has become proficient with DMI treatments. She holds her DMI Level A certification.

In Sarah’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful children. Her hobbies include running, gardening, cooking, and travel!
